Atelier Robotiq is a Rotterdam-based design studio founded by Søren Blomaard and Anne-Lise Heydra, where aerospace engineering, product design, fine arts, and robotics converge. The studio creates contemporary light sculptures and innovative designs characterised by light, geometric abstraction, and iconic, pure forms. Their Out of Order fixture explores the transition from robotic precision to expressive disorder, as if guided by the robot’s own 'free will'. The ultra-lightweight cylindrical form, made from wound industrial yarn and reinforced with resin, appears as a three-dimensional play of suspended lines.
